Be well, keep calm and carry on, Timberwolves. We look forward to seeing you all on the other side. As we have more information we will update dates and volunteer opportunities for our spring events and especially our auction. Thanks for your patience and continued support.
Our grab-and-go snack bar Teacher Treat Day will be moved to April.

Ms. Hall is looking for some help with the spring performance of Shrek the Musical. If you could help with poster or T-shirt design, or would be willing to help with concessions, visit the volunteer sign up, here.
Online Silent AUCTION
Our Spring Online Auction is coming up April 13th-20th! The auction is our only spring fundraiser, and will fund several important projects. Last year we raised money for four water filling stations! This year we are raising money to purchase two more water filling stations, cover the cost of maintaining and purchasing filters for all the water stations, and purchase items from the teacher wish list.
There are three ways to help us get ready for the auction:
- We need your help collecting donations for the auction! Here's a few ideas:
· Ask your favorite salon, spa, brewery, or restaurant to donate a package or gift card.
· Do you own a business? Donate items or services from your business!
· Do you have season tickets to a sporting event? Donate tickets for an event!
· Do you have a time share or vacation home you could share?
2. Each grade is also working together to donate items for a themed gift basket.
Even small items will help us create great gift baskets.
3. We are in need of someone with a good camera and a little time to volunteer to take pictures of all the items to be listed in the auction. If you can help with this, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
Please bring all donations to the office. Thank you!
You be the judge!
TPCA's Odyssey of the Mind teams are in need of a few parent volunteers to help with judging for upcoming tournaments. Training is provided! This is a great chance to check out Odyssey of the Mind for families interested in participating next year, or those just looking for a fun volunteer opportunity. Head over to the OM page for all the info.
Don't forget to enter your volunteer hours to help us keep a yearly total and for a chance to win prizes!
A written record of our volunteer participation may help us to receive grants. By taking time to enter your hours, you may be helping even more!
Friday, March 13th is the next Smart-E Pants Day! Students bring $1 to wear pants or skirt of your choice, with a uniform top. These $1 donations go towards technology upgrades for our classrooms!
*Elementary can wear any kind of pants, shorts, or skirt (no sweats or pj pants); middle school can wear any denim shorts, pants or skirts.
Skirts and shorts must still come to the students finger tips with arms at their side.
TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK
Help us thank our outstanding teachers and staff!
Many of our teachers have notified us of items they could really use, which are currently above and beyond our PTO budget. Rather than let these needs go unmet, we'd like to make them available for TPCA families to fulfill on an ongoing basis. The Amazon list will be updated as needs arise throughout the year. Some are very small and others may be larger amounts. Visit the wish list to view the wishes and purchase items.
We love our Teachers!
The PTO strives to make our teachers and staff feel loved and appreciated in many ways througout the year. We know parents may also like to show their appreciation with something special on a holiday, birthday or teacher appreciation week, so we have compiled a list of your teacher's favorites! Just click the button and scroll left to right to find your child's teacher.
Back to School Pool Party
August 2020 at Sunset Pool
Wear a costume and trick-or-treat down the halls. We'll have carnival games, a pumpkin carving contest, cake walk, concessions and prizes! We need lots of help to make this fun night a success.
fall Food Drive
Our annual Fall Food drive provides needed food and coats for the OUR Center.
Thanks to everyone who hosted a booth, performed, and helped with the international festival! It was a fun night of celebration and learning!
Middle School HOT/Cold Party
The Middle school Hot/Cold party 2020 was a great night! Thanks to all the parents who helped out. We are already looking forward to next year!
The new Timberwolves spiritwear store is up and running! The TPCA dress code now allows students to wear TPCA spiritwear any day of the week. Purchase t-shirts, long sleeve shirts, and hoodies here. Visit the spiritwear store
PTO Email Updates
Sign up here to join the PTO email list. Starting this fall we will send out email updates about upcoming fundraisers, volunteer opportunities, and community events.
Log Volunteer Hours
Please help us keep an accurate yearly total, by logging your volunteer hours. Each month we we will do a drawing for the PTO parking space. Enter your hours to win the super convenient parking space for a month or a local gift card! Records of our excellent parent involvement may help us qualify for grants and also encourage community support. Thank you!
**All TPCA families are asked to volunteer 10 hours per year. If you are short on time, each $10 donation of food or supplies also counts as 1 hour of time. Thank you for your support of TPCA!!**
New Rewards Program
We are excited to announce that we now have an awards program set up with American Furniture Warehouse. Your purchases will now benefit our school, when you mention Twin Peaks Charter Academy at your next furniture purchase! Please be sure to spread the word to friends and family as well.
Boxtops add up and with our boxtops money we are able to earn books for the school library and sports equipment for classes to use at recess! Turn in box tops to your child's classroom teacher.
Milk caps for Moo-La
Bring your Longmont Dairy milk caps to the school offices so we can earn money for our school!
King Soopers Rewards Program
If you have a King Soopers loyalty card you can earn money for our TPCA teacher's appreciation fund every time you shop. You no longer need to load a gift card to support the school, you only need a "Sooper Card."
It's Sooper easy! Take 5 seconds to start earning money for Twin Peaks:
- Login to your account at kingsoopers.com or citymarket.com.
- Click on "Community Rewards" and type in HX413 (or search for Twin Peaks Charter Academy)
- Click enroll. Done!
The best part of the new program is that you can watch your donations to the school add up. King Sooper's donates 5% of your purchases every time you scan your loyalty card! Thank you for supporting TPCA while you shop!
How do I get involved?
There's something for everyone! Every parent can and should have a hand in making this a great year for all our students. Sign up to receive email updates, join the parent Facebook group, click on a sign-up link above, attend a monthly meeting, or email us for more info or to share your ideas.
What are the funds used for?
With the funds we raise, the PTO is able to provide free events throughout the year to promote school community. Additionally, money raised through the Trot and Silent Auction cover the cost of field trip transportation and help us reimburse teachers for some classroom supplies. We also use funds raised for special projects, like water bottle filling stations, playground shade, or a new piano for the music room.
Why should I track my volunteer hours?
All volunteers will be entered in a monthly drawing for a gift card or special parking spot! We also like to show how involved our parents and guardians are in our school, and a written record of volunteer time and involvement is important to have when we are applying for educational and non-profit grants. Your hours are not published and are only used for these purposes. Thank you for taking time to log them!
Purpose and Objectives
The Twin Peaks Charter Academy Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is proud to support our school by hosting events, activities, and fundraisers throughout the year. All parents and guardians who have a student at TPCA are considered members of the PTO and are welcome and encouraged to participate in any and all of the activities we sponsor. In fact, we can't do it without you! Be a part of your child's academic success, and make this the best year yet! We look forward to seeing you at an upcoming meeting.
Our meetings are the first school Monday of the month at 3:15pm in the East Media Center. All TPCA parents are members and are welcome and encouraged to attend. When you attend a meeting you will also have a chance to win a gift card just for attending!
